[Microsoft] free software!

NOW!
Microsoft is offering its original software for free for students!

Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance (MSDNAA) programme gives you the ability to download any software you need from the Internet and have your own product key.

What do I need to do?
send us a copy of your personal or University ID on alex.club@student-partners.com along with your name and email
OR
give us a hard copy of the ID along with your name and email at class 201 @ Electrical Engineering Building (Ask for Ahmad Fathy or Evronia, Microsoft Student Partners). This is important so that you can obtain your original serial number for any software.

We will register you and send you your username, password and a website address, you will log in and choose the software you want to download and enjoy!
Download is unlimited..

If your connection doesn't allow you to download the software, you can bring blank CDs and DVDs to get the software you need on them. You will have to pay a visit to the student affairs office in Edara Building, 3rd floor, Computer and Systems Engineering department, ask for: (Eng Amr or Eng Mohamed Hassan who are responsible for distributing the Microsoft Software)

After you obtain the software on CD, you still need to log in to the website we will provide you and generate a product key..Note that only ONE person can use the product key for any product, and only university STUDENTS are permitted to download and use the software..So, don't give your serial number to everyone around! If you need to give a copy of your software to some friends, they may copy the software itself but we will still have to register them so that they can obtain legal serials for their software copies.

Don't worry, it's all very easy and fast! and we're always there to help you and answer your questions!

IT challenge problems

Dear all,
Everyone was excited to join last night's IT quiz, on the 23rd of November. However, many have faced problems and we were so glad to receive your feedback. We just hope that those who faced problems won't quit and still take time to join again on the remaining 4 quizzes in the upcoming 2 months.

Among the problems that were faced that the compete button didn't appear, instead, a link to your profile "Provide Personal Information" would be on the page.. It means you have some data missing: the address, telephone number, or anything else .. so please make sure that you fill ALL the data fields on your profile, even if the website doesn't put an * next to it to indicate that it's required.

Please if you're within a quiz, and you face an urgent problem, choose to do one of the following:
1. Search the forum on imagine cup website http://imaginecup.com/forums/16.aspx and see if someone else has the same problem like you, or you can write your problem and receive fast replies, because everyone will be online.
2. e-mail us and if we're online we'll reply
3. call us if none of the above works!

Congratulations to those who passed to Round2.. For those who haven't competed yet, the next quiz is on December 9th at 10 p.m. Cairo Local Time.

Best of luck to everyone, please don't hesitate to tell us if there're any more problems.. and we'll do our best to help you

Have a nice time

Best wishes,

Students Club and Imagine Cup Talk

Today, on November 2nd, 2008.. We, the MSPs at Alexandria University: Ahmad Fathy and Evronia Azer, held an MSPian talk at our class Open-mouthed
The talk was mainly about the new Microsoft Students Club that was launched recently, and the Imagine Cup competition and how people can join in.

The number of people who attended was over 50, and we were so happy and glad about the interest and feedback we saw from our colleagues. Everyone was keen to ask questions about the club, and offering help.. even some started to form teams to join the Software Design competition! Everyone was motivated and the response was really great..

So thanks everyone from 2010 class at the Computer and Systems Engineering Department!
You are great!!
